AmericanAnglian Awarded Full-Service Contract for the Strongsville, Ohio Wastewater Treatment System BUSINESS WIRE(1999³â 11¿ù27ÀÏ) [STRONGSVILLE, Ohio] AmericanAnglian has signed a ten-year contract to operate, maintain and manage the Strongsville Wastewater Treatment System, including a 2.1 MGD treatment plant, a 1.8 MGD treatment plant, related bio solids handling facilities and eleven lift stations, serving approximately 50,000 people.
Under the agreement, existing plant employees will become employees of AmericanAnglian.
The Strongsville wastewater system has been under contract management since 1985. In the first year of the new contract with AmericanAnglian, the City will save $146,000 over last year's operating budgets.
"The decision to partner with AmericanAnglian was based on the additional cost savings proposed," said Mayor Walter Ehrnfelt. "We welcome AmericanAnglian as our partner and look forward to having them operate the City's wastewater facilities".

AmericanAnglian, headquartered in Marlton, New Jersey, is a limited partnership between American Water Works Company and Britain's Anglian Water Plc, specializing in water and wastewater public/private partnerships.
