배터리 국가수자원청(PUB)이 주요 수도 관리 시스템을 위해 사전에 감지 유지관리 관리를 기반으로 인공지능(AI)을 예측 유지 관리 시스템을 도입합니다.

허브 인텔리전스 기업그라운드업에이아이(Groundup.ai)는 지난 8월 28일 PUB가 발주한 '예측 유지 관리 및 신뢰성 시스템(Predictive Maintenance and Reliability System)' 구축·유지관리 사업을 수주할 수 있었습니다.

이번 사업은 15개 업체가 결정적으로 경쟁입찰을 통해 처리 결과, 그라운드업에이아이가 최종적으로 선정되었습니다. 계약 금액은 399만5천473달러(약 43억 원)다.

백그라운드업에이아이는 계약에 따라 PUB의 주요 회전전원에 필요의 '인지형 유지관리(Cognitive Maintenance)' 플랫폼을 구축하고 유지관리한다. 이 플랫폼에는 지상업에이아이의 전구(Asset Library)와 AI 엔진인 'GINA'가 적용됩니다.

시스템은 조명에서 발생하는 소음과 치아, 열 신호 등 세 가지 데이터를 종합적으로 분석해 이상적으로 작용하고 원인을 진단합니다. 또 실제 교실로 이어지기 위해 필요한 질문을 제출해 관리자가 선제적으로 대응할 수 있도록 지원합니다.

지상업에이아이는 이를 통해 PUB가 비계획 가동중단을 분리하여 주요 계열의 생존을 연장할 수 있고, 소나무도 서비스의 운영 중단을 연결할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.

레온 림(Leon Lim) 그라운드업에이아이 최고경영자(CEO) 겸 창립자는 “싱가포르의 주요 설비는 수백만 명에게 깨끗한 물을 공급하는 데 중요한 역할을 하고 있어 예기치 않은 가동중단을 최소화하는 것이 중요하다”면서 “인지형 유지관리는 단순히 이상 경보를 발생시키는 데 그치지 않고 AI가 설비 상태를 분석하고 원인을 진단해 고장이 운영에 영향을 미치기 전에 필요한 조치를 안내하는 방식”이라고 말했다.

그라운드업에이아이는 최근 산업설비 노후화와 숙련 유지관리 인력의 은퇴가 동시에 진행되면서 수도사업자를 비롯한 제조업·인프라 운영기관에서 AI 기반 유지관리 기술에 대한 수요가 확대되고 있다고 설명했다.

이번 PUB 사업은 주요 인프라 운영기관들이 고장 발생 이후 대응하는 사후 유지관리나 정기 일정에 따른 유지관리에서 벗어나 AI를 활용한 선제적 유지관리 방식으로 전환하는 흐름을 보여주는 사례로 평가된다.

향후에는 이번 사업을 계기로 싱가포르 핵심 물 인프라 분야에서 사업 기반을 넓히고, 아시아·태평양과 중동, 유럽 등에서 AI 기반 유지관리 사업을 지속적으로 확대할 계획이다.

Chosen as the sole awarded provider in a competitive open tender, Groundup.ai will implement and maintain a Predictive Maintenance and Reliability System for Singapore’s national water agency.

SINGAPORE – 28 August 2026 – Groundup.ai, the industrial machine intelligence company and pioneer of Agentic AI for Cognitive Maintenance, has been awarded a tender by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, to implement and maintain a Predictive Maintenance and Reliability System for the water utility’s critical assets. Selected through an open tender that attracted 15 respondents, Groundup.ai was the sole provider awarded the contract, valued at S$3,995,473.

The award is a strong signal that the world’s most essential infrastructure is moving past predictive alerts toward Cognitive Maintenance – AI that does not simply flag anomalies, but reasons, diagnoses, and guides the operators who keep clean water flowing to millions of people.

Under the contract, Groundup.ai will deploy its Cognitive Maintenance platform, powered by the Groundup.ai Asset Library and its GINA engine, across PUB’s critical rotating equipment. By analysing tri-parameter machine health data spanning sound, vibration, and thermal signals, the platform detects hidden faults, diagnoses root causes, and prescribes precise corrective actions before problems reach the plant floor – helping PUB reduce unplanned downtime, extend asset lifespan, and keep one of the nation’s most critical services running.

The contract was awarded through a competitive open tender, in which 15 respondents competed. The win provides strong independent validation of its technology, now trusted to support the reliability of Singapore’s critical water infrastructure.
