와백(WABAG)은 사우디아라비아 알주프(Aljouf) 지역에 건설되는 하루 5천만 리터(50MLD) 규모의 첨단 기술 염수 역삼투(Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis, BWRO) 플랜트와 관련해 사우디수자원청(Saudi Water Authority, SWA)으로부터 ‘대형’ 등급의 반복 발주 사업에 대한 낙찰통지서(Letter of Award)를 확보했다고 밝혔다. [사진제공(Photo Source) = WABAG]

 

와백(WABAG)은 사우디아라비아 알주프(Aljouf) 지역에 건설되는 하루 5만㎥(50MLD) 규모의 첨단 기술 염수 역삼투(Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis, BWRO) 플랜트와 관련해 사우디수자원청(Saudi Water Authority, SWA)으로부터 ‘대형’ 등급의 반복 발주 사업에 대한 낙찰통지서(Letter of Award)를 확보했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 해당 플랜트의 설계·조달·시공(EPC)을 포함하며, 와백은 약 14개월에 걸쳐 설계, 공급, 시공 및 시운전을 수행할 예정이다. 해당 시설은 관정(Bore well)에서 공급되는 원수를 처리하는 구조로, 희귀 원소가 포함된 원수 특성을 고려해 세라믹 멤브레인 기술을 활용한 전처리 공정과 마이크론 카트리지 여과, 역삼투 공정을 순차적으로 적용한다. 이를 통해 장기적인 설비 신뢰성과 지역 내 지속 가능한 용수 공급을 확보하는 것을 목표로 한다.

와백은 이미 낙찰통지서를 수령했으며, 향후 계약 체결을 위한 공식 절차가 개시될 예정이다. 계약 서명 이후 사업 수행 개시를 위한 효력 발생일이 공지될 계획이다.

WABAG secures Letter of Award for a ‘Large’ Order from SWA, towards a technologically advanced 50 MLD BWRO Plant at Aljouf, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

VA TECH WABAG (WABAG), a leading pure-play Water Technology Indian Multinational Group, secured a Letter of Award for a ‘Large’ repeat order from Saudi Water Authority (SWA), towards Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the Advanced Technology Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) Plant with a capacity of 50 Million Litre per Day (MLD), at Aljouf in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

WABAG will Design, Supply, Construct, and Commission this 50 MLD BWRO plant over fourteen (14) months with state-of-the-art technology, where the facility will treat raw water supplied from bore well fields which contains rare elements, requiring a robust pre-treatment using Ceramic Membrane technology followed by Micron Cartridge Filtration and Reverse Osmosis, to ensure long-term reliability and sustainable water supply for the region.

We have received the Letter of Award and contracting formalities will commence now. Post signing the contract, the effective date for commencement of execution will be announced.
