28일, 아시아개발 은행(ADB)은 중국 쓰촨성(Sichuan Province)의 저탄소·기후 실험형 실험 구축을 지원하기 약하게 10억 위안(한화약 2천81억 원) 규모의 고백을 입증할 수 있었습니다.

'쓰촨 기후 스마트 저탄소 농업 개발 에이스 사업(Sichuan Climate-Smart Low-Carbon Agriculture Development Demonstration Program)'은 농경 기반과 환경을 개선해 약 75만 주민에게 더 나은 생활 여건과 사이에 존재하는 생계 기회를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영향력 있는 중국의 게임·곡물 생산을 위해. 하지만 무분별한 경작 확대, 분류 조정면 개간, 농약·비료 남용 등으로 외계인과 수질이 심각하게 위험해질 수 있습니다.

여기에는 해상력이 있는 관계가 흥미롭고 경작과 개발 활동으로 부담도 더 많은 존재입니다. 이러한 활동가들이 협동하여 농업 활동을 펼치고 지역에서 활동하고 있습니다.

이 문제를 해결하기 위해 사업은 여러 분야를 동시에 개선하는 방식으로 추진된다. 농장과 재배 시스템을 현대화하고, 기후스마트·저탄소 농법을 적용하며, 농민을 돕는 디지털 정보 서비스도 도입한다.

아울러 관련 정책과 인센티브 마련을 지원하고, 자발적 탄소거래의 효과를 검토해 감축 기법을 지역 농업에 적용하는 작업도 진행한다. 화학 비료와 농약 사용을 줄이고 농촌 지역의 재해 대응력을 높여, 중국의 탄소 감축·탄소중립 목표 달성에도 힘을 보탤 계획이다.

사업은 훼손된 농지를 복원하고 비효율적인 관개 시설을 교체해 농업 환경을 보호·회복하는 데 집중한다. 또한 저탄소 농업과 농촌 개발에 대한 지식 공유를 확대하고, 지역의 전문성 강화에도 나선다.

ADB to Accelerate Low-Carbon Agriculture Development in Sichuan, PRC

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a billion Chinese yuan ($140.89 million equivalent) loan to advance low-carbon, resilient agriculture in Sichuan Province, the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

The Sichuan Climate-Smart Low-Carbon Agriculture Development Demonstration Program will benefit more than 750,000 residents by enhancing agricultural resources and environmental assets, improving people’s living conditions, and providing sustainable livelihoods.

“This program is a strategic investment for ADB that will contribute toward a sustainable future for agriculture in the PRC,” said ADB Country Director for the PRC Asif Cheema. “By establishing a replicable model for low-carbon and climate-smart agriculture, we are not only building resilience for Sichuan Province but also creating a valuable and scalable blueprint for other regions and countries confronted by similar challenges.”

Sichuan is a major agricultural and grain-producing province that faces significant risks due to unsustainable practices, intensive land use, extensive terracing, and agricultural chemical overuse, which degrade soil and water quality. The increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events further exacerbate the negative impacts of human activities on communities and nature, undermine agricultural productivity, and threaten regional food security.

To address these problems, the program will employ a multifaceted approach. It will modernize farms and farming practices, integrate climate-smart agriculture and low-carbon production technologies, and adopt digital information services to assist farmers.

The program will also help develop new policies and incentives, evaluate the effectiveness of voluntary carbon trading, and integrate emission reduction methodologies into local farming.

It will promote the limited use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, strengthen rural communities’ resilience against hazards, and help the PRC meet its national carbon reduction and neutrality targets.

The program will protect and restore the environment by rehabilitating farmlands and replacing inefficient irrigation systems. It will also improve knowledge sharing and foster local expertise in low-carbon agriculture and rural development.
