미국의 인프라 컨설팅 회사인 애이콤(AECOM)은 영국의 컨설팅기업인 픽 에버라드(Pick Everard) 및 글리즈(Gleeds)와의 퍼펙트 써클(Perfect Circle) 합작 투자가 영국 최고의 공공 부문 조달기관인 스케이프(SCAPE)의 두 가지 새로운 컨설팅 프레임워크(consultancy frameworks)에 선정되었다고 5월 23일 발표했다. 

총 가치가 최대 12억5천만 파운드(약 15억2천만 달러)에 달하는 이 프레임워크를 통해 합작 투자 회사는 영국 전역의 공공 유틸리티 부문에 전문 서비스를 제공하게 된다.

애이콤(AECOM) 환경사업부 CEO인 프랭크 스위트(Frank Sweet)는 “퍼펙트 써클(Perfect Circle) 파트너와 함께 스케이프(SCAPE)와의 협력을 계속하게 된 것을 자랑스럽게 생각하며, 영국 전역의 지역사회에 혜택을 주기 위해 우리의 다학문적 역량과 주요 유틸리티에 대한 실적을 적용할 수 있기를 기대한다”라고 말했다. 

스위트 CEO는 이어 “이 새로운 프레임워크는 영국의 물 부문 성장과 지속적인 에너지 전환의 핵심 원동력으로서 우리의 역할을 확장하여 우리 팀이 지속가능한 미래에 중추적인 유틸리티 인프라 전반에 걸쳐 탄력성을 구축할 수 있도록 해줄 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

퍼펙트 써클(Perfect Circle)은 잉글랜드, 웨일스, 북아일랜드에 대한 SCAPE의 7억5천만 파운드(8억5천900만 달러) 직접 보상 프레임워크와 스코틀랜드에 대한 5억 파운드(6억1천700만 달러) 전용 프레임워크에 지정되었다. 프레임워크는 4년 동안 실행되며 추가로 2년 연장할 수 있는 옵션이 있다. 

두 프레임워크 모두 물, 재생 가능 에너지, 철도 및 지하철, 항공, 항만, 통신 등 다양한 공공 유틸리티 부문에 솔루션과 서비스를 제공하기 위한 것이다.

영국 전역의 유틸리티 부문 조직을 포함하는 고객은 전략적 조언, 엔지니어링 서비스, 설계 서비스, 프로젝트 관리 및 수량 조사를 포함하여 합작 투자의 전문 서비스 제품군에 액세스할 수 있다.

AECOM 유럽 및 인도지역 CEO인 콜린 우드(Colin Wood)는 “이 새로운 프레임워크를 통해 우리 팀은 영국의 야심찬 전력망 및 유틸리티 인프라 현대화 목표를 제공하는 역할을 계속 확장하고 있다”라고 말했다.

AECOM joint venture secures position on two new ￡1.25 billion SCAPE Utilities Consultancy Frameworks in the UK

 

DALLAS (May 23, 2024) - AECOM (NYSE: ACM), the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, today announced that its Perfect Circle joint venture with Pick Everard and Gleeds has been appointed to two new consultancy frameworks for SCAPE, the United Kingdom’s leading public sector procurement authority. 

The frameworks, with a combined value of up to ￡1.25 billion, will see the joint venture deliver professional services for the utilities sector across the UK.

“These new frameworks extend our role as a key enabler of the UK’s water sector growth and ongoing energy transition, allowing our teams to build resilience across the utilities infrastructure pivotal to a sustainable future.”

Perfect Circle has been appointed to SCAPE’s ￡750 million direct award framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and its ￡500 million dedicated framework for Scotland. The frameworks will run for a period of four years, with an option to extend for a further two years. 

Both frameworks are intended to deliver solutions and services across a range of utility sectors, including water, renewables, energy, rail and metro, aviation, ports and harbors, and telecommunications.

Clients, which include utility sector organizations across the UK, will have access to the joint venture’s suite of professional services, including strategic advice, engineering services, design services, project management and quantity surveying.
