[싱가포르] 레이튼 아시아, 싱가포르 상수도 프로젝트 수주

PUB로부터 하루 30만200㎥ 정수 생산용량의 초추강 정수시설 재건축 계약

공사 규모 약 1억6천만 호주 달러…2028년까지 완료될 예정

호주의 글로벌 엔지니어링 회사인 CIMIC 그룹의 자회사인 레이튼 아시아(Leighton Asia)가 싱가포르 국립수자원청(PUB)이 추진하는 초추강 정수시설(Choa Chu Kang Waterworks, CCKWW) 재건축 공사를 수주했다.

레이튼 아시아는 이번 계약으로 약 1억6천만 호주 달러(1억4천400만 싱가포르 달러)의 수익을 창출할 것으로 예상된다.

초추캉 정수시설(CCKWW)은 싱가포르에서 두 번째로 큰 정수시설이며 하루에 8천만 갤런(약 30만200㎥)의 처리 능력을 가지고 있다.

CIMIC 그룹의 후안 산타마리아(Juan Santamaria) 회장은 “초추캉 정수시설(CCKWW)은 최신 수처리 기술과 스마트 기능을 구현하면 시설 운영이 개선될 것”이라면서 “우리는 수처리 인프라를 현대화하는 우리의 능력이 싱가포르의 증가하는 인구의 물 수요를 충족시키는 데 도움이 될 것”이라고 말했다.

레이튼 아시아(Leighton Asia)의 브래드 데이비( Brad Davey) 전무이사는 “레이튼 아시아는 싱가포르의 장기적인 물 기반 시설에 크게 기여할 이 필수 프로젝트의 일부가 된 것에 자부심을 느낀다”라면서 “싱가포르의 지속적인 발전을 지원하기 위해 혁신적이고 비용 효율적인 전달 방법론에 기여하는 것은 우리의 특권이다”라고 말했다.

초추캉 정수시설(CCKWW) 재건축 계약의 범위는 기계, 전기, 계측, 제어 및 자동화(MEICA) 작업과 관련 건물 서비스, 토목 및 임시 작업, 서비스 전환, 테스트 및 시운전 및 재건된 정수시설의 플랜트의 검증이 포함된다.

초추캉 정수시설(CCKWW)의 재건축 공사는 2024년 2분기에 시작하여 2028년까지 완료될 예정이다.

Leighton Asia wins waterworks project in Singapore

 

CIMIC Group company Leighton Asia has been awarded a contract for the reconstruction of Choa Chu Kang Waterworks by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency.

The contract will generate revenue of approximately A$160 million (S$144 million) for Leighton Asia.

Choa Chu Kang Waterworks is the second largest waterworks in Singapore and has a treatment capacity of 80 million gallons per day.

CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaria said: “Implementing the latest water treatment technology and smart capabilities at Choa Chu Kang Waterworks will improve operation of the facility. 

We are pleased that our capabilities in modernising water treatment infrastructure will help to meet the water needs of Singapore’s growing population.”

Leighton Asia Managing Director Brad Davey said: “Leighton Asia takes pride in being part of this essential project for Singapore that will significantly contribute to its long-term water infrastructure. 

It is our privilege to contribute our innovative and cost-effective delivery methodologies to support Singapore’s continued development.” 

The scope of the contract includes mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) works, along with associated building services, civil and temporary works, services diversion, testing and commissioning and plant proving of the reconstructed plant.

Construction is set to commence in Q2 2024 and to be completed by 2028.
