[싱가폴] Hyflux, 아인 수크나 지역에 BOT·BOO 기반 IWWP 제공

이집트 아인 수크나 지역에서 개발중인 15만m3/day 통합 수자원 발전 프로젝트(IWWP, water and power project)가 BOT(Build-Operate-Transfer) 및 BOO(Build-Own-Operate)를 기반으로 개발 될 예정이다.

이 변경으로 인해 올해 12월 3일 종료될 회계 연도에 Hyflux가 재정적 영향을 받을 것으로 예상되지는 않는다.

Hyflux는 성명서에서 5억 달러 규모의 프로젝트를 개발할 파트너를 확인했으며, 수에즈 운하 경제 구역(SCZone, Suez Canal Economic Zone)과 계속해서 투자 조건을 논의 할 것이라고 밝혔다.

또한, 담수 플랜트뿐만 아니라 현장의 457MW 복합 사이클 가스 터빈 발전소는 과잉 전력을 송전망에 보내고 담수화 플랜트에 전력을 공급하고 전기 공급을 할 수 있도록 건설 될 것이다.

Hyflux to deliver Ain Sokhna IWWP under BOT/BOO

The 150,000 m3/day integrated water and power project being developed in Ain Sokhna, Egypt will now be developed on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) and BOO (Build-Own-Operate) basis.

This follows a request from the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone, which originally awarded Singapore firm Hyflux the contract on an engineering, procurement and construction basis (read story).
 
The change is not expected to have a material financial impact on Hyflux for the financial year ending 31 December 2017.

In a statement, Hyflux said it has identified partners to develop the US$500 million project and will continue to discuss the investment terms with SCZone.

As well as the desalination plant, an on-site 457 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant will be constructed to generate power and supply electricity to the desalination plant, with excess power to be sent to the grid.
