새로운 기술 활용한 시범 프로젝트 예정 중

열악한 환경에서 최대 98%의 물을 회수할 수 있는 세라믹 담수막 제조업체인 멤브레인은 첨단 재료 연구 및 조사 과학의 글로벌 리더인 W. L. 고어와 협력하여 공동 개발한 최종 제품인 얇은 세라믹 이온 교환막에 대한 상업적 테스트를 수행한다고 발표했다. 

테미온과 고어는 테미온의 업계 선도적인 세라마보다 최대 4배 향상된 염류 흐름을 성공적으로 입증했다. 이것은 농축된 염분에서 에너지 효율적인 염분, 광물 및 금속 등을 제거한다. 산, 산화제, 파울런트 또는 스캘란트와 같은 다른 오염 물질이 포함된다.

Seattle, WA, January 25, 2023 – Membrion, a ceramic desalination membrane manufacturer that enables recovery of up to 98% of water in harsh environments, announced their collaboration with W. L. Gore and Associates, a global leader in advanced materials research and investigative science, to perform commercial testing of their jointly developed ultra-thin ceramic ion exchange membranes. 

Membrion and Gore have successfully demonstrated up to a 4-fold enhancement in salt flux above Membrion’s industry leading CeramIX®️ membrane in a commercial scale. This enables energy efficient salt, mineral, and metal removal in concentrated brines, many of which have other contaminants such as acids, oxidizers, foulants or scalants that make them hard-to-treat.

Membrion and Gore are tackling the treatment of complex brines in the semiconductor, food, mining, and other industries. The technology aims to eliminate the need for off-site transport while enabling a cost effective and energy efficient treatment of water in these industries.
