UVC LED 기술, 물 온도·맛·냄새 영향 없고 안정적 정화 보장 및 에너지 효율 25% 제고

아사히카세이(Asahi Kasei)의 계열사인 크리스탈 IS(Crystal IS)는 자사의 클라란(Klaran) UVC LED 기술을  암웨이(Amway)의 새로운 eSpring™ 수처리 시스템에 공급한다고 4월 30일 밝혔다. 클라란 UVC LED 제품군은 물의 온도, 맛, 냄새에 영향을 주지 않고 안정적인 정화를 보장하는 사용 시점 소독 기능을 제공한다.

수돗물 품질은 국가와 주마다 다르며, 공공 수도 시스템에 여과 프로토콜이 마련돼 있지만 유해한 화학 물질, 살충제, 박테리아 및 물을 오염시킬 수 있는 기타 입자의 위험이 여전히 존재한다. 클라란 UVC LED는 바이러스와 박테리아의 일관되고 신뢰할 수 있는 비활성화를 보장하기 위해 260nm~270nm 범위의 이상적인 살균 파장 범위의 자외선(UV) 광을 제공한다.

크리스탈 IS의 UVC LED 기술은 전통적인 정수 방식에 비해 많은 이점을 제공한다. eSpring 수처리 시스템은 자외선을 활용해 화학 물질이나 과도한 에너지 소비 없이 식수에서 유해한 오염물질, 박테리아 및 바이러스를 효과적으로 제거한다. 실제로 UVC LED를 사용한 수처리 설계는 에너지 효율이 최대 25% 더 높다.

Amway Selects Crystal IS for New eSpring™ Water Treatment System

Crystal IS, an Asahi Kasei company, today announced that Amway, an entrepreneur-led health and wellbeing company, selected Crystal IS to treat and disinfect water in its new eSpring™ Water Treatment System. Crystal IS’s line of Klaran UVC LEDs offers point-of-use disinfection that ensures reliable purification without affecting temperature, taste, or smell of the water.

Tap water quality varies by country and state, and even though public water systems have filtration protocols in place, there is still a risk of harmful chemicals, pesticides, bacteria, and other particles that might contaminate the water. Klaran UVC LEDs provide ultraviolet (UV) light in the ideal germicidal wavelength range from 260 nm – 270 nm to ensure consistent, reliable inactivation of viruses and bacteria.
