[독일] 행스트(Hengst), 최신 OSHA 표준 충족하는 새로운 필터 출시

 

독일의 행스트 필터레이션(Hengst Filtration)은 미국 산업안전보건청(OSHA)의 헤파(HEPA) 필터에 대한 최신 요구사항을 준수하는 산업용 습식 및 건조 진공청소용으로 설계된 필터를 도입한 제품을 출시했다.

2016년 미국은 규산염 먼지를 취급하는 사람들의 보호에 대해 더 엄격한 제한을 도입했다. OSHA 표준은 필터가 0.3μm에서 99.97%의 분리 성능을 제공해야 한다. 사용되는 진공에는 반드시 사이클론 사전 분리기 또는 청소 가능한 필터 삽입기가 장착되어야 한다.

 

새로운 HEPA 필터는 최신 OHSA 표준을 준수한다.

 

섬유유리 매체는 지금까지 HEPA 필터 기술에 사용되었지만, 이 매체는 위험 물질을 효과적으로 제거할 수 없는 매체 내부에 보관한다는 것을 의미한다.

새로 개발된 Hengst 필터는 세척이 가능하며 0.3μm의 입자 크기에 대한 필터링 수준이 99.97%로 새로운 OSHA 요건을 충족한다.

Hengst는 새로운 세척 가능한 필터를 위해 특별한 PTFE 막과 일치하는 백킹 재료를 조합하여 선택했다. 여과물은 필터 케이크의 형태로 필터 매질의 표면에 정착하는 여과된 먼지에 의해 제공되며, 예를 들어 압력 펄스를 사용하여 쉽게 제거할 수 있다.

New Hengst filter satisfies latest OSHA standards

 

 

Hengst Filtration has introduced a filter designed for industrial wet and dry vacuums that conforms to the latest requirements for HEPA filters by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the US.

In 2016, the US introduced stricter limits on the protection of persons handling silicate dusts. The OSHA standards mandate that filters must provide a separation performance of 99.97 % at 0.3 μm. The vacuum which is used must also be equipped with a cyclone pre-separator or a filter insert that is cleanable.

Fiberglass media has, until now, been used in HEPA filter technology but this media means hazardous substances are retained on the interior of the medium, where they cannot be cleaned off effectively.

The newly developed Hengst filter can be cleaned and has a filtering level of 99.97 % for a particle size of 0.3 μm, meeting the new OSHA requirements. Hengst has selected a combination of a special PTFE membrane and a matching backing material for its new cleanable filter.

Filtration is provided by the filtered dust settling on the surface of the filter medium in the form of a filter cake, which can then be removed easily using, for instance, a pressure pulse.
