[브라질] 플루언스, 브라질 최대 해수담수화 플랜트에 1,000만 달러 계약

플루언스(Fluence Corporation Limiteted, ASX : FLC)는 세계 최대 철강생산업체 중 하나인 12,000㎥/일 해수담수화 플랜트의 설계, 엔지니어링 및 건설에 1,000만 달러 계약을 체결했다고 최근 발표했다. 

이 해수담수화 시설은 브라질 동부에 있는 철강 생산시설에 위치한다. 이 맞춤형 엔지니어링 솔루션(Custom Engineered Solution)의 건설은 2019년 2분기에 시작될 것으로 예상되며, 오는 2020년 4분기에 운영될 것으로 예상된다.

플루언스(Fluence)의 담수화 솔루션은 안전한 용수를 생산하여 현지 유틸리티에 대한 의존도를 줄이기 위해 국제 입찰 절차를 통해 선정되었다.

지난 수년 동안 수자원 위기가 발생했을 때 국영기업은 물 공급을 최대 30%까지 줄였다. 이 시설은 24,000㎥/일과 36,000㎥/일의 모듈 확장을 위해 설계될 것이며 브라질에서 가장 큰 해수담수화 플랜트가 된다.

Fluence Signs US$10M Contract For Brazil's Largest Seawater Desalination Plant

Fluence Corporation Limited (ASX: FLC) is pleased to announce that it has executed a US$10M contract for the design, engineering and construction of a 12,000㎥/day seawater desalination plant for one of the world’s largest steel producers.

The plant will be located at the customer’s steel production facility in eastern Brazil. Construction on this Custom Engineered Solution is anticipated to commence in Q2 2019 and is expected to be operational by Q4 2020.

Fluence’s desalination solution was selected through an international tender process by the customer to address water security and reduce dependence on the local utility.

 During water crises over the past several years, the state-owned utility has curtailed water delivery to the customer by up to 30%. The plant will be designed for modular expansion to 24,000㎥/day and 36,000㎥/day and will be the largest desalination plant in Brazil.
