[GE] 중국 줘저우 새 발전소서 물 재이용 기술 지원

GE사가 중국 허베이(Hebei) 지방 줘저우(ZhuoZhou)에 위치한 새 화력 발전소에 물재이용 기술을 지원하는 계약을 체결했다. 이번 계약은 발전소가 새로 강화된 물 오염관련 기준을 충족시키는 데 도움을 주고자 이뤄진 것이다.

베이징(Beijing)으로부터 남쪽으로 60km 가량 떨어져 있는 줘저우(ZhuoZhou) 지역의 화력발전소는 오는 2017년 5월 개방될 예정이며, 플루(flue) 가스를 탈황 폐수로 처리하는 GE사의 폐수 무방류(zero liquid discharge, 이하 ZLD) 기술을 이용해, 폐수 재이용률을 약 99%까지 끌어올릴 것으로 예상된다.

지난 수년간 중국은 자국 내 산업화가 가속화되고 물 부족 문제가 심각해짐에 따라 오염 관련 규정을 보다 엄격하게 실시해 왔다. 새로 건설되는 모든 화력 발전소는 현재 ZLD를 실시하도록 요구되고 있다. GE사는 결정화 기술에 이어 순수한 염화소듐을 생산해 내는 멤브레인 염분 농축 기술(membrane and brine concentration technologies) 또한 제공할 계획이다.

이번 프로젝트는 오염 물질을 배출하는 발전소들을 베이징의 바깥 지역으로 재배치시키는 확장된 플랜(plan)의 일부다. 이번에 들어서는 줘저우(ZhuZzhou) 지역의 새 발전소는 지난 2015년 3월 해체된 Shinjingshan 발전소를 대체할 것으로 보인다.

GE supports water reuse at new power plant in ZhuoZhou City, China

GE has signed a deal to supply water reuse technology to a new coal-fired power plant, Zhuozhou Jingyuan, in Hebei province, China, to help the plant meet new, tougher standards on water pollution.

The thermal power plant in ZhuoZhou City, 60 kilometres south of Beijing, is slated to open in May 2017, and will use GE's zero liquid discharge technology to treat flue gas desulfurisation wastewater, achieving an anticipated 99 peccent of wastewater reuse.

China has tightened regulations on pollution over the past few years as industrialization takes hold in the country, and water scarcity grows. All new thermal power plants are now required to achieve zero liquid discharge. GE will provide membrane and brine concentration technologies, followed by crystallization, to produce pure sodium chloride.

The project is part of a wider plan to relocate polluting plants outside of Beijing's urban areas. The new Zhuozhou Jingyuan plant will replace Shinjingshan power plant, which was decommissioned in March 2015.
