베올리아 아일랜드(Veolia Ireland)는 캐번주 킹스코트(Kingscourt)에 위치한 216만 유로 규모의 폐수 인프라 업그레이드를 포함해 아이리시 워터(Irish Water)와 신규 계약을 체결했다.
이번 신규 계약은 킹스코트 수처리플랜트가 물골격지침(Water Framework Directive)을 준수할 수 있도록 업그레이드하는 동시에, 캐번주의 인구증가에 따라 물수요를 충족하는 것을 도울 예정이다.

Veolia to upgrade Irish Water wastewater treatment plant in €2m contract
Veolia Ireland has won a new contract with Irish Water which includes a €2.16 million upgrade of the wastewater infrastructure at Kingscourt, County Cavan.
The new contract will upgrade the Kingscourt Water Treatment Plant to ensure compliance with the Water Framework Directive and also help meet the needs of the County’s expanding population, which is estimated to be over 108,000 by 2026.
Under the contract Veolia will deliver solutions including borehole pumping, direct coagulation process with two stage dual media granular filtration, chlorination, orthophosphoric dosing for plumbosolvency control- and UV disinfection.
The service will be delivered by Veolia’s local engineering team and is expected to begin in June 2016, starting with a 15 month construction phase and followed by an operating contract.
Niall Gleeson, managing director at Veolia Ireland, said: “Helping Ireland to manage its precious natural resources is our priority for 2016. Together we will work with Irish Water to support this upgrade in waste water treatment infrastructure which also builds in increased capacity to allow for economic growth.”
